Patrik Antonius vs durrrr in a Full Tilt Poker Challenge

FullTiltPoker.net has just launched an innovative informative section containing all the action of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an amazing online heads up tournament featuring some of the finest big money online poker players challenging the online poker phenom Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The brand new site gives poker players and fans the opportunity to monitor this historical internet poker challenge and check out timely statistical updates. With this brand new “durrrr Challenge” section poker players can follow all the poker action and look at each poker hand played during durrrr Challenge, and check out lots of stats, including how many hands were played, session time, cash won, average won during each hand and tons more.

Around six months ago, the 23 year old internet poker professional delivered a heads-up challenge for any player with the loot, time and talent to accept it. Any player entering the durrrr challenge has to wager $500,000 against durrrr’s $1.5 million. Tom’s challenge specifies that at least 50,000 online poker hands need to be played at the same time at 4 or more tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the challenge, the player who has more money will take home the pool. Essentially if you enter the durrrr challenge and win a dollar after the 50,000 hands, then you will earn Tom’s $1.5 Million, but if he wins by a dollar then he will take home your $500,000.

Thus far, a few professional poker players have accepted to play the “durrrr challenge”, including seven-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, though, only Patrick Antonius has consented to the poker challenge. At this point, both players have participated in a total of 20,647 hands out of 50,000, with Tom durrrr Dwan ahead $726,546 total.

Online Texas Hold’em Special Program will be presented on CBS’ 60 Minutes

This Sunday evening CBS will present their special program “How Online Gamblers Unmasked Cheaters”. This investigation special was filmed after a 4 month research into the online poker industry and purposely a scam with the online poker website Absolute Poker.

This Texas Hold’em poker website was examined after a few of the poker players on the webpage alleged that a player was dishonestly winning a large amount of poker hands. Todd Witteles was a key player in this examination, according to Witteles; he was losing large amounts of money to the exact same Texas Hold’em player. Witteles claimed that this gambler was raising against incredibly good poker hands, the majority of people would have presumed he was simply giving his money to the other players, but he was in reality winning quite often.

Witteles was in the right with his assumptions, following this it was discovered that a person possibly working for the company was able to spy on anyone’s hole cards. With the first look, Absolute Poker claimed that there were no faults with the page or the Texas Hold’em poker player. After several players stepped up with claims, the Texas Hold’em site looked deeper into the problem and found the problem.

By January of 2008, the KGC exposed what the poker competitors and the Texas Hold’em poker website had assumed all along. It turned out that, there was an employee who had hacked the Texas Hold’em page’s security and was playing poker illegitimately for around a month and a half. The investigation verified that the poker website had not benefited from the illicit transactions whatsoever, and was in no way, shape or form involved.

These circumstances are further confirmation that there ought to be more rules in regards to gambling websites. The United States government should license and regulate the internet Texas Hold’em poker business to look after these honest clients. These guidelines would also police the access to these websites by kids, which is turning into another issue lately.

Can I Actually Make Money by Playing the Game of Poker?

Imagine if you were to talk to any random guy or girl off the street about poker, they possibly wouldn’t believe online Texas Hold’em poker to be a game of strategy, planning, or close examination. Most likely when you mention Texas Hold’em poker with them, they would perhaps envision some acquaintances lounging around their living room table having conversations and smoking cigars. They also might consider online poker to be a game of chance and not skill, more similar to a game of craps and not checkers, for example.

So the big question is: “Can I become rich playing poker?”. It may seem strange but, you can actually make money this way. Quite a few people not just win money by playing online Texas Hold’em poker, but also make enough to live by playing in tournaments. The first thing you have to remember about poker is that even though you can play in a Las Vegas, Nevada casino, beside blackjack tables and slot machines; in Texas Hold’em poker you are not playing against the house but against other online Texas Hold’em poker players. Therefore, in all reality, you are putting up your cash against other players in a competition of expertise as opposed to a game of luck.

You might be saying to yourself: “Isn’t being lucky a big part as well?” The truth is in online Texas Hold’em, nobody is aware which hands will be dealt. That doesn’t necessarily suggest that you can’t play Texas Hold’em poker with a reliable quantity of pre-game data. One main issue to not forget in online Texas Hold’em is that numbers can be your best friend. Math plays a very significant role in the game of online Texas Hold’em. Not to forget, that even if you get rather lucky frequently the statistics always seem to humble you.

Keep in mind that LV casino games like online poker where you are truly playing against other real-life players CAN be won. The more you play the game of Texas Hold’em poker, you will realize that it is more of game of ability as opposed to pure luck.

Avoiding Disturbances when you are playing Texas Holdem Poker

The benefits of Full Tilt Poker compared to actual poker rooms are endless, but besides these advantages there are also a number of troubles. Internet poker allows recreational poker players the opportunity to play in pro Texas Hold em Tournaments with pro Texas Hold em players, but these non-professional Texas Hold em players ought to avoid any disruptions that could hurt their chances to win big money.

Many online Texas Holdem players become sidetracked by their environment, or probably by the internet poker webpage they are playing on. These interruptions can in truth cost them great hands and quite possibly their well-deserved Texas Holdem Poker chips. The game of poker is a game of expertise as well as absolute attentiveness, no matter if you are playing at home, or in a brick and mortar poker room.

Most likely, the biggest blunder that online Texas Holdem poker players commit is by competing in more than one table at once. The better part of amateur Full Tilt Poker players will assume that this is a good scheme, but at the end of the day it could prove to be a harm. This scheme of playing different Texas Hold em tables simultaneously will damage your concentration and at the end of the day cost you big. Don’t forget that even the best Texas Holdem players in the world can commit damaging blunders while concentrating their attention on a number of internet poker tables simultaneously.

Any given online Texas Holdem poker player, may at some point, find themselves playing several Full Tilt Poker tables at the same time, while watching a movie, reading their favorite poker blogs, talking on the phone to friends etc. This is a scenario that should be avoided if you desire to win online Texas Holdem games and make the grade for big internet poker tournaments. Remember to concentrate your attention on the other internet poker player’s wagers, their intentions, and your own online Texas Holdem hands if you desire to be the best Texas Hold em player.

New Poker Show Places Everyday People Alongside Professional Poker Players

Poker was a game accessible only in casino hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada or from electronic poker machines, but now it is more widespread than ever in Las Vegas, Nevada thanks to the the internet.

The famous Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino, is now banking on this popularity with its new audience-participation show called “The Real Deal!” in its Venetian Showroom, debuting in October.

This new idea will merge comedy and game show elements to entertain its live audience. The audience will also be able to join in the popular game of Texas Holdem’ alongside the world’s best poker players. There will be prizes for the audience including a chance to win 1$ million.

In “The Real Deal!” the audience will play with players like Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu. Around 10 professional players have already signed up for the poker game show. The audience will be able to play along with the 90 minute game thanks to handheld, wireless, touch screen devices located on each seat.

"People who come to Vegas casinos want to play poker,” Negreanu says, "but obviously they can't play in a big game with the players such as Doyle or Phil Hellmuth. But, in this show, they actually can.” At the beginning of each show, six audience members will be chosen to sit at the poker table on stage with two pros. Each audience member is then involved in the action by being dealt a unique hand on their devices. Everyone in the showroom is then involved in the action with big-screen monitors located on stage.

The show’s creators say that you don’t have to be a pro poker player to take part in the poker game. There are other ways to increase your point total, that doesn’t involve poker necessarily. Betting on the suit of the next poker card or trying to guess which state a particular audience member is from, are just some of the ways to come out a poker champion in this game.

The shows producers are also placing bets on the personalities of the pro poker players to create some interesting moments. People like Scotty Nguyen, the flamboyant five-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, definitely has an idea how to entertain the crowd and will provide some great entertainment in this TV poker game show .
